The Problem
Bellese's federal healthcare projects were struggling with inconsistent UI implementation and accessibility failures across teams. Each project reinvented the same components, creating duplication, inconsistency, and recurring compliance risk.
What I Built
Designed and built a reusable Angular component library with WCAG AA compliance built into every component from day one
Wrote comprehensive documentation and usage guides enabling 15+ engineers across multiple teams to adopt the library with minimal friction
Led design-to-development handoffs, acting as the bridge between UX designers and engineering teams
Created interactive prototypes that directly contributed to winning new federal healthcare contracts
Outcomes
Component library adopted across 15+ engineers on multiple federal healthcare projects
Eliminated recurring accessibility failures — full Section 508 / WCAG AA compliance across all consumer projects
Prototypes and demos contributed to contract wins with CMS and ONC
